What is HD ready?

The 'HD ready' logo is briefly described a guarantee to consumers that the
device is suitable for playback of High Definition images. HDTV promises the
greatest advances in quality since the introduction of the color. HDTV offers up
to five times sharper images than standard television.

EICTA
The
conditions for the 'HD ready' label to wear, since 2005 determined by EICTA.
EICTA is an official European institution that clear directives presupposes and

Industry Association for Information Systems, Communication Technologies and
Consumer Electronics).

Directives since early 2005
EICTA would
promote the introduction of HDTV in Europe and any obstacles such as
compatibility problems between devices exclude. Since early 2005, EICTA, the
European guidelines for the HDTV set. All appliances (such as televisions,
monitors and projectors) have following characteristics:

The picture of
the screen should be 16:9 (ie widescreen)
The resolution of the screen

resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels, or even 1280 x 720 (when the screen has a
resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels).

HDTV logo
In addition to the

What is the difference between 720p and 1080i?

720p stands for an image resolution of 1280 x 720
pixels and a progressive image building, in 1080i means an image resolution of
1920 x 1080 pixels and interlaced rendering (interlaced in English).

With an interlaced format, the screen is built in two phases. This
building is very fast so that the human eye only sees this, except a small
flicker in the image. A progressive signal is more advanced than interlaced. The
images are at once on the window. Especially with moving images (sports, etc.)
is very good 720p.

TV formats are defined according to following
formula: (1) the number of active lines per frame + (2) the scanning algorithm
(interlaced or progressive) and (3) the frame rate. Thus we come to terms
720p50, 1080i25 or 1080p50.

But what is the difference between 1080i and
720p?
When we look at the figures seems to 1080i better than 720p. In
practice, it is another story. When 720p is 50 full frames per second offered
and there is no shake by the progressive construction of the image. With 1080i,
only 25 frames per second up, and the video mixed up. Causing shake. Although
1080i contains more pixels (1920 vs. 1280 to 720p) is here for pixels in still
images. For moving images, the number of pixels that is delivered per second of
importance for the ultimate quality.

In terms of bandwidth - important
for broadcasters and cable companies - there are just differences.

What means the HD ready 1080p logo?

All requirements of the HD Ready standard remain the same, with a few additional requirements added.

Simply put, the new logos (two pieces: HD Ready 1080p and HDTV 1080p) that the device is suitable for displaying the Full HD resolution. So that the screen next to 720p and 1080i also can receive 1080p signals, processing and display. This should make easier for consumers to distinguish between 720p and 1080i and 1080p.

The new version of the HD Ready specification is compared with the normal HD-ready rules some additional requirements:
the minimum resolution, 1920 x 1080 pixels amounts
the received video format without distortion can be reproduced
1080i and 1080p should be played without overscan (1:1 pixel mapping)
displaying 1080p HD (1920x1080 progressive with support for 24, 50 & 60 Hz-signals)

What means 24p?

Movies that you would see on television or on DVD so about 4 percent faster play. Voices and sounds are slightly higher. You can easily test by taking the total playing time of a movie on DVD cover to compare with playing in the cinema (from www.imdb.com).

The 24p support (or 24Hz) on televisions and Blu-ray Discs, the film as the director intended displayed.

Please note that not every new flat-screen real-24p playback shows. There are TVs that 24Hz-60Hz display images with judder (stuttering) may occur because of the 3:2 pull down. The 24p-winning content in the TV is not a guarantee for the smooth ability to display them. A TV that can display a 24p perfectly will an 72Hz or 96Hz signal it. Appropriate for the transmission of HD signals (720p and 1080i) is component video, also known analog HD video is called. You recognize the cable to the three RCA jacks which are designated as Y (green marking), Pb (blue marking) and Pr (red marking).
We said just now that digital audio via HDMI is also forwarded. Do you own an amp but without HDMI, you can still use the digital audio output from a DVD player or digital set-top box the sound output to the amplifier.

LG's INFINIA (borderless)

The INFINIA line aimed at the high end and consists of both LCD TV's (Full LED) and plasma TV's. They meet three requirements of a market for LG to come: 1. A beautiful design with screen edge and seamlessly blend together (Disabled frame of the television is invisible). 2. No cables to spoil the view, as all cables (one for Blu-ray player, game console or other devices) are connected to a separate wireless receiver that is in connection with the TV. 3. And the option of using DLNA multimedia sharing, which your multimedia files in High Definition (HD) streaming to your PC to your TV.
bron: <A

Panasonic TX-P42G20 review

The Panasonic TX-P42G20 uses plasma panel rather than the more common LCD technology. But that's not it's only unique selling point, for it is also our only contender with a built-in Freesat HD tuner.

It's also nice to see that the plasma screen is one of Panasonic's NeoPDP models, with their much-enhanced brightness and pared down running costs.

More good news finds the panel sporting a full HD resolution, which is a big deal in the plasma world, where precious few 42in screens manage better than HD Ready resolutions. To our knowledge, Panasonic remains the only maker of full HD 42in plasmas.

Continuing the numbers game, meanwhile, is the P42G20's blistering 2million:1 claimed contrast ratio, which leaves the figures of even the best of our LCD rivals looking feeble. And still we haven't got anywhere near the end of the P42G20's attractions.

For it's also got an SD card slot for playing JPEG photos and AVCHD movie files, an Ethernet port readying the TV for the imminent launch of the BBC's eagerly anticipated Freesat iPlayer service, 600Hz processing for removing judder and flicker from pictures, plus the brand's own V-real 4 processing.

There's also proprietary Intelligent Frame Creation (IFC) processing, which inserts subframes of image data to enhance motion processing, although this is actually part of the 600Hz system.

Performance

The latter really does a very good job of reducing the judder that's long been one of the few failings we've found with Panasonic plasmas, and it makes images seem generally more stable and colourful along the way.

Colours warrant more coverage, since their vibrancy and expansive tonal range, especially with HD, offers more proof of the worth of Panasonic's NeoPDP technology. As you'd expect with plasma technology, the P42G20 also performs mightily well when it comes to black levels, which look deeper, more natural and more detailed than those of any of our LCD rivals.

Wrapping up a really terrific picture effort with HD is some outstanding sharpness, as the set really rams home that important full HD pixel count.

The P42G20's flaws are relatively minor, consisting of a little residual judder during fast camera pans, some rare and quite low-level processing artefacts when engaging the IFC system, a few rogue colour tones (especially when watching SD sources) and a slightly soft look to standard-definition pictures.

With some decently robust audio the only barrier to total irresistibility is this screen's rather steep price.

LED LCD TV

There are currently 3 for LED backlight
technology available:
• The technique whereby a large number of LED
lights (white or colored) behind the LCD screen is mounted, namedFront LED
backlight (Also called Full LED). This technique offers the most potential
and is the highest in quality, but there are still relatively few TV's on the
market with this technology. We do see more and more recently TV's with this
technique appear.
• The technique of LED lights on the side of the LCD screen
are mounted, named Led Edge. This technique is mostly used to date.

• The technique of LED lights on the sides of the
LCD screen are mounted, named Led Edge plus. This technique some LED
lights on the side on / off switch to the appropriate signal.

What is the best technique?
There are
not really drawbacks to this technology and the price of LED TVs has already
gone down considerably. This technique is an improvement in terms of pure
TV.
Basically "Front Led " the best quality LED backlight technology. The
backlight is very evenly distributed around the screen and by adding more LEDs
it will only get better, and relatively little energy consumed.
Yet it is not
so that with a wide berth Edge Lit LED TVs to walk around. In general, Edge Lit
LED TV's still better quality as the regular CCFL LCD TVs, and more efficient.
Moreover, manufacturers are doing everything to great advantage - the sleek look
- combining the highest quality.

LED TV offers more than what?
LED
(compared with "old" LCD TVs)

Lower power consumption (up to 50%)
LED lights use far less
energy than standard LCD backlight. Also, the LED lights in dark areas of the
image are completely or nearly expelled. It can take up to 50% less energy
saving compared to an LCD TV.

Higher contrast and deeper black levels
There are a huge number
of LED lights behind the screen and can be individually plotted. Also, the
reaction to the power or turning on lights so much shorter than normal LCD TV's.
This allows certain groups LED lights are completely off. It will be very deep
black levels achieved in some parts of the screen when needed. This technique is
known as Local Dimming. (This technique has been refined too: by not
using white LEDs but one combination of colors, the backlight color even be
adjusted on the image)
The brightness of LED lighting is also higher than
that of CCFL lamps and thereby take contrast ratio (ratio between the brightest
and darkest images a party) to clear.

Thinner screens (though LCD TV's already thin)
The LED
technology allows screens to make much thinner than we are accustomed. Sometimes
up to several millimeters flat.

Faster response time (no Wipe effect more rapid in
pictures)
Because LED lights can be switched as soon as the "sweep"
effect, which sometimes can be seen on an LCD TV, significantly reduced. LED TV
's are therefore not suitable for fast moving images like sports elements in
such competitions.

Some LED TVs are already Internet-ready.
This means that on
these TV's widgets (small programs) can be downloaded, such as weather, Twitter,
Sudoku or additional program information, without your even having to leave your
TV programs. This part of the LED TV is still in its infancy, but seems too much
for the future. You can simultaneously access the internet and watch your
favorite TV program.

DLNA
DLNA allows your music, photos and videos using PCs, media
centers, PDAs or game consoles to stream TV.
More information: DLNA Network Capabilities

Brands like Sony, Samsung, LG, Philips and Sharp.
They use all
the technology today.

The LED technology offers next to these elements
even more. This allows separate color LED lights which display an increased
color range they can be. Also, the lifetime of LED not inferior to that of the
normal LCD.

Some brands and shops LED TV show as a new kind
of TV programs, such as Plasma and LCD, but in principle is an LED TV so far
just an LCD TV with LED backlight. Some countries may no longer be advertised by
the term "LED TV 'because it is misleading. LED lighting is still costly to
manufacture, compared with CCFL lighting, hence the prices of 'LED TV's "well on
the high side.

bron: <A

Plasma NEO PDP

Also, Neo PDP is the only disadvantage of time
being more expensive than "normal" plasma TV's, only this difference is much
smaller than the difference between LED and LCD TVs.

What Neo PDP TV offers more than?
Neo
PDP (compared with "old" Plasma TV's)

More light output
Through a new technique for alleviating the
plasma screen, the light output a bit more. This makes colors more vivid.

Much thinner (1 cm thick normal)

Smoother movements
An intelligent system in the image processor
brings all the changing scenes in TV card and makes for a sharp display of
moments in action sports and movies on your TV.

Higher contrast ratios (up to 2,000,000: 1)
The greater
difference between maximum brightness (white) and minimum brightness (black)
provides a natural transition of colors.

Deeper black levels
The Infinite Black system you get a display
with super bright whites and deep black levels.

Energy efficient and environmentally friendly than previous series (50%
less energy)
Apart from the fact that consumption of TV's 50% reduced,
they have also received an ECO Mode. This mode allows the brightness and light
output of the image are adjusted to the ambient of the room. In dark lighting
conditions verbuikt the TV a lot less power.

Also Neo PDP makes online content available on TV.
An example is
Panasonic with Viera Cast. Allows you to your TV via the Internet and such
search videos on Youtube, watch sports matches on Eurosport and news and weather
information. This is further developed and is only just available. But a fun
gadget and a good preparation for the future is certain.

DLNA connection
DLNA is a connection option for your PC or
laptop. With an ethernet cable (or wireless) can connect the computer to the TV
so your movies and photos on your TV or display.
More information:
DLNA Network Capabilities

Brands like Panasonic and Pioneer

Neo PDP is also not entirely new kind of TV
technology. It is an improvement of the technology in plasma TV's as we know so
far.

In short, these new techniques provide a good battle on again. Major
differences between the two are not there yet, but both techniques are also only
just on the market.
The prices are, for this reason and because production is
quite expensive, at a high level, but the decline has already
started.

bron: <A

Difference 1080i & 1080p

We all recognize the following specifications are sometimes, 1080p, 720p, 1080i, etc. We know what the 1080 and 720 content, namely the resolution of the image, but some hold that 'p' and 'i' really mean? Above we have already discussed what the number means Hz - how often the image is refreshed per second. The content you have on your TV viewing is included with a number of Hz. Now are there for changing the image content of these 2 different techniques. First there is interlacing (eg 1080i). This means that an image of such 60Hz (standard for HD broadcasts) is refreshed 60 times per second, in two different parts: first one for the odd lines and then one for all even lines. This technique, however, stick a big disadvantage, the bigger the image, the clearer the different lines. Moreover, when a picture will soon move over time the image with the even lines in a different spot projected. This can occur artifacts; Rare forms in the picture with special edges of objects are distorted. de-interlacing, a technique used in new TVs or peripherals such as Blu-ray player is present, this issue. In this technique, the even and odd lines through software in a complete on the screen what the picture sharper and smoother looking display. The modern name for this technique is progressive scan. Newer movies (especially Blu-ray movies) and the latest HD TV broadcasts are sometimes used in the progressive scan images, which de-interlacing no longer needs to take place in your TV and the picture, without intervention of software or other techniques, in a time displayed on your TV.

In short, progressive video at all picture lines at once built. This is in contrast to interlaced video, where the first moment, and then the odd lines are displayed. But what is actually better? Perhaps the difference between interlaced and progressive is not so great, but overall has a quiet yet progressive image. For faster movement of the image there is the possibility that you'll see interlaced artifacts, but this is mainly a problem at lower refresh rates of about 25Hz. At 60Hz you will hardly see this phenomenon.
bron: <A

Which format to choose

The "old" SD system was that the viewing distance six times the amount needed to exemplary diagonal. For people with an average viewing power lines, the image no longer shown separately and the optimal image. But the advent of High Definition has changed. The larger number of video lines can sit closer to the TV without seeing the lines. Moreover, the aspect ratio (16 / 9 instead of 4 / 3) the width become more important than the height. The rule applies to a widescreen (LCD or Plasma) TV an optimal viewing distance of three times the screen diagonal.
bron: <A

HDMI

HDMI video resolutions from 480i to 1080p to make, depending on the source
and the source.

HDMI can be integrated on TV's, receivers, DVD players, Blu-ray players,
digital decoder, and more. Today this is often the case.

HDMI also possesses a kind of protection against illigal copying, called
HDCP

HDMI is greatly expanded in recent years, which resulted in several versions
of this connector. All the newer versions of HDMI are compatible with older
versions installed on older equipment, but you will not be able to use the
latest features of the new HDMI version. Below you can find an
overview.

HDMI 1.0 HDMI 1.0 combines a
digital video signal with a 2-channel audio signal into a single cable. This
could be between a DVD player with HDMI and a TV with HDMI.

HDMI 1.1 -This version adds the
ability to not only video and 2 channel audio through a single cable to carry,
but also the ability to surround sound like Dolby Digital and DTS to carry, up
to 8 channels (7.1 setting)

HDMI 1.2 -This version adds the
ability to carry signals to SACD. These are signs of a Super Audio CD such a DVD
player to a receiver, both with HDMI.

HDMI 1.3 -This version includes
improvements in both audio and video elements. The advent of Blu-Ray (and the
then HD DVD) This version also brings the possibility of digital bitstreams
(data streams) to implement the new high resolution audio formats like Dolby
TrueHD and DTS HD.

HDMI 1.3a Besides the
above-mentioned audio improvements, increasing 1.3 and HDMI 1.3a video bandwidth
that can be transferred from one source to the screen. This means that such
greater color depths (color palettes) can be sent and also higher resolution
than the current 1080p. HDMI 1.3 (a) is the most current version at this
time.

HDMI 1.4 HDMI 1.3 is just around
the corner and watch but HDMI 1.4 is already in the making. There are many
improvements made in HDMI 1.4, as described below;

Network - Version 1.4 is the integration of HD video, HD audio with the same
Ethernet cable. This means that your home network, you and your Internet image
and audio signals are all integrated in a single cable.

Return Channel Audio - The TV may soon audio signals back send this
sound to a receiver to play. This is especially useful when you're using an
analog TV tuner in your TV. Normally, you should put a cable back to the
receiver to the audio through your receiver to run to your speakers. Again,
everything again by
a single cable.

Speed - Emerging technologies such as 2K and 4K (2000 pixels and 4000
pixels, which is a very high resolution) and 3D TV, has more bandwidth, HDMI 1.4
gives them that space. The higher speed is of course interesting, but the
technologies that we need to wait. Support for "Deep Color" (deeper color) in
HDMI 1.3 is still virtually unused.

HD in your car - a new connector (jack) is introduced to the automotive
industry must help to HD video and audio in the car integrereren with HDMI.

Smaller connector - there is a new, smaller 19 pin connector next to the
current connectors.

bron: <A

High Definition

High Definition (Full HD)

High Definition is the new television experience,
Unsurpassed image quality, the most realistic ever.

What are the advantages of High Definition?
1.
Much better picture quality.
2. Incredibly rich colors.
3. Fantastic sharp
image.
4. Breathtaking detail.

The big advantage of High Definition is the larger number of video lines,
which allows for a clear sharp image, especially to be seen in the growing LCD
and Plasma TV's. By comparison, the current PAL TV standard for Europe. The PAL
signal consists of 576 picture lines in an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. High
Definition, on the other hand, has 720 or 1080 lines (720 is mainly used for
HDTV broadcasts and Blu-Ray equipment for 1080) and has an aspect ratio of 16:9.
Besides the fact that the resolution is higher, is also the possibility of some
of the displayed colors is much greater than PAL.

Upscaling (upconverting)

Upscaling, upconverting also called, means that a
signal is converted to a higher resolution.
The scaling ensures that no
regular DVD's (which is a standard resolution, SD, having 576 scan lines) true
High Definition (1080 lines) are made. The extra resolution is in fact
software-generated, and was not present in the original material. This function
has its advantages especially when viewing a DVD on a LCD or Plasma screen,
because the image is sharper look after this operation than when the SD
resolution would be displayed. More and more DVD / Blu-ray players and HD TVs
offer the possibility to appreciate the signal with
upscaling.

What is 3D?

It took a while before it was given the 3D technology is very difficult to
develop. We can own the world if people around us easily in 3D, but even this is
a very complicated process. So let alone the development of 3D TV's.

You can see by your depth as a human, although unconsciously, using evidence
from the picture you see. So you know for example that when a car on the garage,
that a garage door behind the car. Because the area contains many such
indications we know much about the depth of certain images, but it can be seen
in three dimensions we combine the flat images of both eyes to a 3D image. Each
eye has a different picture because of a situation. Keep your finger but also
right to hold your nose and close your first left and then your right eye. Your
finger apparently varies from place. The brains combine these two images, the
depth of objects to determine precisely.

Types of 3D

The red / green glasses
The technique with the red / green
glasses and red / green images is actually one of the first techniques that
there was a 3D experience. The 3D image you see through these glasses is
experienced by the two layers (red and green) a bit different. The glasses will
ensure that you only see the layer for that single purpose intended. This view
sees each subject from a different perspective. The brains then ensure that
there is a picture of it, with depth, so 3D. The major disadvantage of this
technique is that you lose all sense of color. Hence this technique in the 50s
it was popular.

Polarization projection
This is a technique often used today in
3D in the cinema. The film is projected by two projectors, one for the image for
the left eye and one for the image to the right eye. Also, for two projectors
placed a polarizing filter the light in one direction pass. These filters are
both projectors to each other rotated 90 º. By now the glasses (polarizing
glasses) Also polarization filters also use 90 º of each other are rotated,
the images are separated and the 3D effect created.

Exchange projection
This technique is the increased use of 3D
cinemas most performances. Here turn to the right and the left projection. The
public should use shutter glasses. These glasses are any glass which in
turn can be made opaque. When the left image is displayed, the right glass
opaque and vice versa. The glasses should be placed so it sync with the
projection. This is usually done by a sensor in the glasses that State in
connection with a sensor above the screen. A small disadvantage is that active
shutter glasses, which means they should be provided electricity. This will
increase the prices of shutter glasses are relatively high (think 60 euro each).
It is said that average shutter glasses about 25 hours of 3D TV can look. 4
hours before the battery is a signal and get the glasses you through a mini USB
charging cable.

The bill projection technique with shutter glasses or desire of the 3D
display, 3D or TV, that a high resfresh rate has. 100Hz or 120Hz LCD TV for
many normal, but the 3D experience smooth shutter glasses with a higher speed is
needed, approximately 240Hz. The lower the refresh rate, the sooner the viewer
sees the transition between frames. Also on low refresh rates motion blur occur. This is one of the reasons
why Panasonic plasma claims that the medium is for 3D. Plasma TV's have in fact
generally a much higher refresh rate than LCD TV's (600Hz or 240Hz compared
120Hz).

Sony and Panasonic for the first generation of 3D TV's using this technique
for the 3D view.

3D Blu-ray

The BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association) has recently launched a 3D Blu-ray
specification announced that the new standard for 3D hardware is born.
We will next time so many new 3D products will see using them.

The specification allows for 3D Full HD 1080p resolution for each eye (Full
3D) sending (including by means of exchange projection), works with all types of
3D displays (LCD, LED, Plasma, etc.), and confirms that all new 3D Blu-ray discs
in 2D should be played at the 'older' (actually present) Blu-ray players. All
types and ways to project a 3D plasma, LCD or LED TV are so supported, both with
and without glasses and both the polarization technique and projection
technology change. Also very interesting is that PlayStation 3 consoles al-Ready
are 3D and can be updated to 3D content to play. So if you have a PS3 then you
temporarily go very well, provided you have a 3D TV next year with its purchase
glasses. Mind you, the PS3 will be half-resolution 3D images (Half 3D)
display.
The current 2D Blu-ray discs are by the standard in the future 3D
Blu-ray players can be easily played. In short, you can all types (2D and 3D) in
each player playing movies, although you in the current players get no 3D
effect.

The new encoding 3D technology for Blu-ray films used also allows
for advanced 3D graphics features to add, 3D graphic navigation menus and even
use 3D displaying subtitles. The encoding technique uses only 50% more
space on the discs in comparison with 2D content, leaving room for 3D extras as
described above.

Without glasses (autostereoscopisch)
There is now also a
newer technique that uses no glasses. The technique ensures that there are 2
different images simultaneously on-screen and when you is exactly the image, the
images through your brains again as 3D experience. A filter ensures that only
pixels from one image in the right eye, and pixels of the only other image in
the left eye. It is nice that we no longer need glasses for this technique, but
there are also two disadvantages. Thus the image is relatively dark because some
light on your left or right eye are blocked, but the main disadvantage is that
you just have to sit right on the screen for the 3D experience and thus is often
only one person just right. Here is a solution, such as the Multi-view screen.
This screen allows two images but not a lot of images, allowing you from
multiple positions (up to 9) could see the 3D effect. But this is not perfect.
It is still difficult for any purpose from exactly the right position to look.
Are you something wrong or too far left, then the image is already distorted.
Also, these scenes often difficult for 2D images in a good way to display.

Philips has recently launched a multi-view screen on the market. This is the
screen creates a 3D effect without glasses. This TV is made especially for the
games industry, presentations and is also used in many casinos. For these groups
the viewing angle is not important. Usually a gamer or someone sitting behind a
slot machine in the casino are entitled to the TV. In this way, the best 3D
effect benut.Naast Philips is also working on Magnetic autostereoscopische 3D
TVs.

What do you need to watch 3D TV?

First of course speaks for itself that you need a 3D TV and its 3D glasses.
But it does not on. You also need a source that 3D Blu-ray discs can play. Now
say some brands (eg Philips) than their current 2D, Blu-ray player via a
firmware update to make suitable for 3D (read more below about products with
HDMI 1.3 and the potential for 3D). This would be a good idea since it costs the
consumer nothing extra. However, there are also brands (eg Panasonic) which only
offer completely new 3D hardware is suitable. 2D Blu-ray players from these
brands so you will have to replace a 3D Blu-ray player.

The hardware we have complete. Now it comes to accessories. You have such a
HDMI 1.4 connector and cable (now called High
Speed HDMI cable) is needed. HDMI 1.4 supports an extensive addition to 3D color
scheme, 4k (Quad HD) Resolution, and ethernet (the ability
to share an Internet connection via HDMI). The upgrade to HDMI 1.4 anyway so one
step forward and recommended, but if you want 3D look is a must. Read here more about the new HDMI logo and High
Speed HDMI.

If you have a receiver or HDMI switcher (with an HDMI 1.3 connection) that
your image and sends audio signals to your TV, it's wait and see whether you
should replace those too. Probably there are some updates to 3D by brands to
send (if technically possible), but you can assume that most brands do a new
receiver on the market.

To briefly explain, in principle, it is not the HDMI signals 3D version
if you want to forward, but the bandwidth. Most switchers and receivers have an
HDMI 1.3 port with just not enough bandwidth for 3D signals to transmit, while a
HDMI 1.3 cable it even could. HDMI 1.4 receivers and other devices that have
bandwidth to, because there is already factored 3D and 4K. A good example is the
Playstation 3. This device uses a HDMI 1.3 port and get a firmware update so
that 3D can send signals, but the bandwidth of the HDMI 1.3 port remains the
same. HDMI 1.3 devices like the PS3, is not the full 1080p resolution
(Full 3D) For each eye
forward, but the resolution gehalveert (Half 3D) To within the
bandwidth of the HDMI 1.3 port to apply. HDMI 1.4 devices do have a port with
higher bandwidth. Whether this is a disadvantage we know yet, but experts say
the difference in 3D will not really see. HDMI 1.3 receivers are
therefore likely 3D forward, but then have a 3D update is needed, which
technically is not always possible, and moreover it is not a full 3D
view.

The above story is actually for digital television decoders (set-top boxes).
These should have sufficient bandwidth to broadcast 3D TV for you to send. For
this reason, 3D TV channels now Semi 3D display. However, 3D broadcast in the
Netherlands are still in the distant future.

IMPORTANT
Some new 3D equipment has still HDMI 1.3
connections. Here it is purely a matter of name. These products can transmit
full 3D, but HDMI 1.4 points, the name used because they do not meet all
specification requirements of HDMI 1.4.

An important point to mention is still all new 3D equipment that can handle
just 2D source material. A film can not easily be played in 2D on a 3D TV.

What does 3D-Ready?

We still know it all .. HD-Ready. Thus came the first HD TV's on the market.
With the advent of 3D, we again see the same principle in the term 3D-Ready.
Measure what does the term 3D-Ready mean exactly? And, what makes a 3D-Ready
TV?

Samsung's appropriate 3D (3D capable) 7000, 8000 and 9000 series HD TV's, for
example, have a 3D processor and 3D transmitter (sends the signal for the 3D
glasses). These TV's are designed to be compatible with multiple 3D standards,
including half / full HD resolution, and the recently established 3D Blu-ray
specification. All this really shows that the term for Samsung 3D-Ready simply
means that the TV's are suitable for 3D. However, Sony also presented a number
of 3D TV, which only the top model is fully 3D capable. Models below mentions
Sony-Ready 3D models and lack the 3D channel and 3D glasses. These accessories
are later to buy. In short, it is important to think carefully what the term
implies a TV. If a transmitter and a 3D glasses 3D TV is when you can assume
that there is full 3D capable TV.

While the size of a 3D TV are no restrictions, although
bigger is often better, a 3D TV is a minimum refresh rate have 120Hz (60Hz which displays
for each eye). The higher the refresh rate, the smoother and smoother the 3D
effect. A 240Hz TV can 120Hz output to each eye. Besides high resfresh rate is
also important that equipment supports HDMI version 1.4 so it is possible for a
Full HD signal per eye (Full 3D) to send.

The way in which 3D displays are also varies by manufacturer. Thus, some
manufacturers use passive polarizing glasses and others active
shutter glasses. This does not affect the source material, the
only way of display and viewing is different. Manufacturers like Samsung, Sony
and Panasonic have opted for the active shutter technology, although this
technology can be expensive and needs a power source (for 3D
glasses).
Source: <A

The term Hertz (Hz) indicates how often the image
on the screen is refreshed per second. In other words, come every 50 seconds
(50Hz), 100 (100Hz) or more past images, depending on the number of Hz. Because
all the content we see on TV is 60Hz or 50Hz, and 24Hz for movies, TV frames you
need to come up when the number of Hertz TV higher than 50Hz, 60Hz or 24Hz of
the content. The invention of the frames there is not necessarily bad, a higher
number of Hz, the image a lot more fluid display and 'motion blur' delete.
However, there are also indications that higher refresh rates Artifacts
(Rare forms in the image edges of objects with particular bias) can be created
by adding extra frames.

Full and Half 3D

Within the 3D technology are again two kinds of
display. One type (Full 3D) is used to view 3D Blu-ray and other species (Half
3D) is used in the 3D of 3D TV broadcasting stations. The difference between the
two display technologies may be quite large, but a format as we have seen battle
between Blu-ray and HD-DVD will not be. This is especially the fact that almost
all TV's two types of 3D display just accept. You better comparison as the
difference between a Full HD TV and an HD-Ready TV.

When a 3D Blu-ray disc, each eye (left and
right) as a separate image to get the 3D effect display. Each image for the left
eye and right eye for each image has a resolution of 1920 by 1080 (Full HD) and
is in turn - 48 times per second, 24 left and 24 right - shown on TV. This
imaging technique is sequential or Full 3D View.

Full 3D - sequential display

Half the TV stations use 3D technology, which means that 24 times per second
an image is sent to the TV. This image of 1080p (Full HD) contains both the left
and the right picture. Once the image reaches the TV the TV will ensure that it
is split into a right and a left image (Side by Side technology). The different
images are then blown up to full screen and sequential (alternate) appears. A
disadvantage of this technique is that the quality of the picture is much less
(half resolution), but the advantage is that the transfer of the 3D signal much
lower bandwidth costs. For this reason, the TV channels for an interesting
solution. But TV stations not only benefit from this solution, consumers also
benefit because they are not new decoder (set-top-box) have to buy the 3D effect
to appear. A simple firmware update should be enough. The decoder must be
equipped with HDMI 1.3 and enough bandwidth.

Half 3D - Side by Side on a sequential display

Full 3D for you to transfer 3D signals a need HDMI 1.4 Cable. For 3D, you
have enough to Half a HDMI 1.3a cable. But actually we must say that for just a
3D 'High Speed HDMI' cable needed.

Canton Vento 880 DC and 810 speakers

These models are the first bearing of Canton's new aluminum woofer 15cm, which leads directly to that least 2.5 cm shorter than other speakers Vento - without this many low loss. Also they both have the same ADT-25 aluminum / magnesium dome tweeter.

Canton claims that the DC technique is incorporated into the speakers eliminates signals outside our borders are hearing and give unwanted harmonic distortion in the lower tones.

Compared to other speakers in this category Canton claims that these new speakers have better bass reproduction at lower frequencies. according Canton is the frequency response 23Hz to 40.000Hz.

The Canton Vento 810 is the smallest model in the Vento line and can be used as a small monitor speaker or a surround speaker in a home cinema system.

Both models use bi-wire/bi-amp capabilities and can be delivered in multiple colors.
bron: <FONT

Wireless speakers of Canton with WA100

only is wireless just much easier and sometimes better in the living room, but
people always want more in other areas of their music enjoyment. An important
requirement is that now everywhere at the same music can be heard.

Canton
is a step in that direction with the WA-100 kit: a wireless music stereo power
amplifier signal is provided by a matching transmitter. The hi-fi system or
separate source is connected to the transmitter of the WA-100 set. The signal
path is provided by a radio frequency, digital audio signal. The amplifier is
coupled to a set of speakers.

The radio signal goes through walls. The
amplifier can therefore be used in a different area than that in which the
transmitter.

The amplifier has high efficiency digital amplifiers, which
produce virtually no heat. There is a maximum power of 80 watts (!) Per channel
are sent out, which means a great power reserves. It can listen through the
enclosed volume, bi-directional, remote radio frequency remote controlled. The
command signal from the remote control also through walls. The volume setting is
communicated back to the sender the remote, so always clearly visible how loud
the display is set.

Most speakers are designed for home, but often sound
quite different in a bedroom or a loft. The WA-100 set is therefore a DSP, a
digital sound processor present. This includes a parametric equalizer. With a
few simple tools, also made visible through the remote, it is possible for
speakers to better adapt to the acoustics of the listening room.

The DSP
can even more: for each speaker Canton is a unique code stored by the best type
of compensation the parametric tone control set. This unique feature is no other
wireless versterkerset to find and is a very useful addition to the potential of
the WA-100 set. It is very possible the WA-100 Canton versterkerset for use as
an iPod or a sound system with normal speakers, just in the living
room.

A big advantage is that no speaker cables need to be drawn between
the speakers and home cinema set. The only wiring is that of the amplifier
(power) and stereo speaker cables, which may be short because the amplifier can
be placed near the speakers. Because the amplifier is very compact and no heat
it may develop easily and safely be removed under such furnishings. The size of
both units is only (L) x 10.5 (W) x 5 D (17.5) cm
Source: <A

The subwoofer is a technology built into the subwoofer on or off automatically.

The HKTS 20 system has a single sided 75mm midrange configuration, while the HKTS 30 system, a two-way mid-range configuration.
LCD vs Plasma in 2010

It was hard enough when fans of the Pioneer Kuro models heard that Panasonic would take over production, but at the last moment when Pioneer stopped this plan before the first Panasonic Kuro models were finished, each plasma lover went a bit dead inside. But not all was lost and Panasonic, Samsung and LG were proud with the production of plasma TVs. Panasonic has even the largest plasma plant ever opened in 2009. Panasonic got up and completed, according to some, the hole that the Pioneer Kuro models have left. The Panasonic Plasma TVs are not for nothing the best of .. Awards for 2009 given. The only drawback were the reports that the black levels of the Panasonic models would take far too quickly.

But the year was not too bad since plasma prices dropped and the second quarter of 2009 this technique was even pretty good. Then, in 2010, stole the Panasonic 3D Plasma TV show. First impressions even indicated that the new line even better black levels and included a better 3D effect than LCD TVs. While there are no signs that plasma once the king of the flat screen TVs will be the technique or a minimum is one year proved that even though LCD to the larger market share, plasma is still a part of the market share, and a number of advantages has over the competition.

While the LCD vs Plasma debate never been so fun or meaningful as the format war (eg, Blu-ray vs. DVD) - it is obviously not true that one technique you restricted from viewing content - it is an interesting battle to follow. In the coming years will likely continue to push LCD plasma to plasma, LCD and larger sizes to push deeper black levels and faster refresh rates. The good news is that ultimately the consumer will get a better HD experience.

bron: <FONT

Though Toshiba's flagship ZX900 Cell TV has yet to make its feature-packed US debut, the company is already planning fancy new toys for the motherland. This week, Toshiba announced a full fifteen new LCD HDTVs destined to spice up the sweltering Japanese summer -- each of them ready to pull double duty as DVR -- and Nikkei Electronics reports that the company's 3D-converting sets will debut around the same time. Meanwhile, Google Translate tells us a bit about the rest.

While the low-end REGZA HE1 series have only a built-in 500GB hard drive and LED-backlit LCDs (as if that weren't enough), the RE1 can send footage to up to four external hard drives over USB in a system that gives each family member their own dedicated hard drive. But the Z1 series takes the cake -- it's got fleshed out DVR functionality that lets users record two programs at once (while watching a third) and jack into a LAN switch with eight drives for a veritable NAS of up to 4TB.
bron: <FONT

Panasonic TX-P50G20 review

With LCD TVs getting better and more popular almost by the
week, the first of Panasonic's new (13th!) generation of plasma TVs, the
TX-P50G20, arrives with a real weight of responsibility on its shoulders.

It's just as well, then, that the TX-P50G20 employs one of
the brand's high-spec 'NeoPDP' plasma panels. Especially so, as Panasonic claims
numerous improvements to NeoPDP since its debut last year, including a new
filter, a new discharge gas, improved phosphors, and even a redesigned cell
structure.

There's also been an incremental improvement to the video
processing engine at the TX-P50G20's heart, in the shape of Vreal Pro 5. This
engine sits alongside Panasonic's established 600Hz Sub-Field Drive, where the
brand's Intelligent Frame Creation system inserts 12 extra 'sub-fields' for
every real 50Hz image frame to create up to 600 sub-fields per second. It
doesn't physically refresh 600 times a second, however.

Other promising features include an improved high contrast
filter for reducing light reflections (and thus boosting contrast), improving
colour purity and enhancing outline sharpness; a claimed 5,000,000:1 contrast
ratio that more than doubles the figure quoted for last year's G10 series; and
THX endorsement, complete with a THX picture preset.

As expected from a reasonably high-spec Panasonic TV, the
TX-P50G20 carries a Freesat HD satellite tuner. But it also sports a Freeview HD
tuner, to handle the new breed of hi-def broadcasts.

Connection happy

The TX-P50G20 has plenty of connections to explore, most
notably four HDMI inputs, a LAN port, a D-Sub PC jack, two USB inputs and an SD
card slot. The LAN port lets you access content on a PC, go online with
Panasonic's VieraCast service, or, eventually, enjoy Freesat interactive
services like the BBC's iPlayer.

VieraCast remains similar to last year's offering, with
YouTube, Eurosport, Bloomberg, DailyMotion and Picasa its biggest attractions.
Other goodies, including Skype functionality and AceTrax video streaming, will
come later in the year. If the idea of hard-wiring the TX-P50G20 into your
network doesn't appeal, you can go Wi-Fi via an optional USB dongle.

The SD/USB slots will play a wide variety of multimedia files
formats, including JPEG stills, AVCHD/DivX/ MPEG2 video, and MP3/AAC audio. Plus
– get this! – the TXP50G20 lets you record TV to an external HDD. These
recordings have notable strengths and weaknesses.

On the plus side, the TV records direct digital broadcast
streams, so recordings can be either HD or standard-def, and lose nothing in
quality. You can also set the HDD to buffer video, for 'rewinding' live TV.

On the downside, you can't record to memory sticks; you need
an HDD with a capacity of between 160GB and 2TB. You also can't record from the
analogue tuner, or any external inputs.

Finally, because of DRM concerns you have to register your
HDD to your TV, with your recordings only playing on the TV the HDD is
registered to. Grrr. Please note, too, that the HDD has to be formatted before
the TV can use it, so you can't share the HDD with other PC content.

In fact, apparently the only hard drive Panasonic has
formally tested with its TVs is the Buffalo JustStore Desktop HD-EU2-UK series.
One of which I duly had to buy. I'm not suggesting that only new Buffalo HDDs
will work with the TX-P50G20, but, well, I suspect Panasonic's customer helpline
should expect quite a few calls...

Taking on all comers

So, do the TX-P50G20's pictures throw down the gauntlet to
this year's upcoming LCD upstarts? Actually, yes. For starters, notoriously
tricky colours like rich reds, greens and skin tones look both more vibrant and
more natural than they did on all but the most flagship (V10, Z1) models from
Panasonic's 2009 range.

Even better, this crucial improvement applies equally to
standard-and hi-def sources, with much less of a discrepancy between the colour
tones of the two resolutions than I saw last year. I'm also impressed by the
leap Panny has delivered with the TX-P50G20's standard-def images.

The Resolution Enhancer circuitry really does sharpen things
up, and, provided you avoid its max setting, it does so without generating
distracting video noise. Now, some of last year's Panasonic plasmas showed
troubling greyness over dark picture areas, but on the TX-P50G20, blacks really
do look magnificently black – especially as the screen is startlingly good at
soaking up ambient reflections.

Furthermore, because plasma is a pixel emissive technology,
its deep blacks don't come at the expense of overall brightness, and accordingly
contain lots of shadow detail. Following on from this, I was also struck by the
extra intensity and dynamism of the TX-P50G20's portrayal of dark scenes versus
last year's equivalent models.

The screen's motion handling also improves on most previous
Panasonic PDPs, as the Intelligent Frame Creation processing delivers enhanced
fluidity without generating as many unwanted side effects. Even with IFC turned
off the image seems less prone to judder.

Panasonic's talent for reproducing fine HD detail with its
plasmas is again in evidence. In fact, the superior motion handling means that,
overall, its HD pictures – including those from the HD tuners – actually look
even sharper than they did on the brand's '09 screens.

With the TX-P50G20's pictures also shaming the LCD fraternity
by retaining colour and contrast from wide viewing angles, I can only manage to
rustle up a couple of small negatives about this 50in TV.

First, there's very occasional subtle fizzing noise over skin
tones during rapid camera pans, especially with standard-definition material.
Second, there's a little pixel instability with certain colour tones – but this
is only noticeable if you sit far too close to the screen.

Nor is the TX-P50G20's audio as stellar as its pictures.
There's no great bass or treble extension, leaving the action sounding rather
condensed in an overcrowded mid-range. The soundstage isn't very wide, either.
But at least the speakers never distort, and the audio is rarely harsh or
tiring.
